The last couple days, I've been trying out a bunch of new games I've bought on GOG. There's still a few left to try out, but here's the ones I've played so far:
Card City Nights ![]() ![]() A card game where you alternate between going around, challenging opponents and making/tweaking your decks. Super charming presentation and I dig the quirky humor. The game rules are kind of unusual. Feels like a bit like the card game you could play inn Final Fantasy 9, since card positioning on a grid matters. I like it quite a bit so far. Also of importance: The soundtrack is cool and subdued. Great stuff. Alien Breed ![]() A conversion of an old Amiga game. Is supposed to be a classic, but I think it blows. Bad graphics and sound, bad controls, really boring, repetitive and superficial gameplay. Not gonna bother with this one any more. Worms ![]() A version of the old DOS classic Worms that has some extra content I've never seen before. It's a lot of fun. I put more effort into naming my team members than I should ![]() A light, but tricky and very fun strategy game. It's a blast in 30-60 minute doses. Worms 2 Totally locks up Windows 10 to the point where you have to force a reset... Couldn't get it to work. User commennts say it's a common issue on new versions of Windows. Oh well. It cost very, very little and I much prefer the aesthetic of Worms 1 anyway. Eschalon Book 1 ![]() Isometric view, single character, turn based RPG that I think is the work of a single developer (same guy who made the Geneforge games). I could be wrong, but I'm too lazy to double check. Anyway: Game was free. Played it a bit and it seems decent, if a bit on the bland side and WHY IS EVERYTHING SO TINY!? Desktop Dungeons ![]() I think this one must have been an iPad game or something? It's a turnbased roguelike, so I was interested right away. It's fairly complex in some ways, but the moment to moment gameplay is very simple. Feels a bit spammy, to be honest. It seems fun, but I like something that feels just a tad more meaty. |

Nice dude. I found my first fragment this morning and the tank upgrade. Hoping to play more tonight. I hope there are new vehicles and tools. The lack of a habitat builder is forcing me to make floaty chests, I havent made one yet, but im going to be forced to if i dont get a 2nd locker soon!
