elph doesn't spend more than $5 on a game or console and hates anyone who does. Also, if you define yourself by which console or game you play, then he hates you doubly so.

I've always preferred Playstation > XBOX. Every since the original XBOX came out with those gigantic controllers, I was turned off of it [I know that they have smaller controllers now, I just don't care].

I used to work in electronics retail and we had WAY more XBOX 360's returned for malfunctions than Playstation 3's.

The original white 360s had a **** ton of problems (i.e. the red ring) when they were released. You used to need to send them to Microsoft in these coffin-esque containers and they'd send them back a few weeks later with them likely still being broken. Eventually they just gave up and created the Elite instead of fixing problems with the original console. In that case I'd give the advantage to Sony hardware, although I still have my original white 360 and it's never had any problems. I chalk that up to dumb luck tho.

I was jealous of some of the Playstation exclusives as a kid like God of War and Shadow of the Colossus, but those sons of bitches couldn't play Halo so joke's on them.

I bought my 360 in 2014, so all that was ancient history by then.
I've got a PS1 and PS2 and Original Xbox before then and honestly thought the old Xbox was kinda lame and had a dull game library. The 360 was way better, gruesome hardware issues aside. I bought a PS3 a couple years ago and didn't even own it for more than three months. Turns out there wasn't much on it that I wanted to play in terms of exclusives.

In the bigger picture, both the PS3 and the 360 are really ****ing lame compared to the PS2 and it's awesome game library.

Just started Fallout 76 last night. While I can understand some of the criticism, I'm actually having a great time playing it. Some things are taking time to get used to but otherwise a pretty solid experience so far. Haven't had any game breaking glitches or bugs, just a tiny bit of lag here and there. I'm playing it solo and I haven't once felt like it was pushing me to play multiplayer. So yeah, I'm enjoying it.

The joysticks on PS controllers always felt awkward to me. Like they're too big but don't offer enough resistance. And since I'm very used to the asymmetrical stick layout on XBox controllers that's another thing that feels weird about PS controllers.

it looks fun as a cooperative shooter I suppose

It's definitely got a different feel than the previous games but I'm playing it solo and have been having a great time. I've seen players running around and I've not been shot at once. Everyone's been cool. I'm having a good time so idgaf about much else tbh. Excited to keep playing today.

It still feels like Fallout tho which is what I wanted.

Why play F76 when you can play Minecraft?

The Batlord 11-18-2018 04:23 PM

I played the first Assassin's Creed when it came out and liked it but never played anything since, then I got a collection of the next three games today and I forgot about all the computer generated stuff that takes you out of the game. I'd really like to immerse myself in 15th century Venice but not having all the bright white computer graphics every minute or so would help. Please **** off with that.
