I'll look into it! Wonder if Steam works on Linux...

No Man's Sky

There's something to be said about this game. I mean, it had one of the worst releases of all time when it wasn't anywhere near what people were promised. However, I have to give the devs credit. They've brought the game back with constant updates and as someone that had originally sort of **** on the game, I can't say I necessarily hate it anymore. I bought it today because as I'm wrapping of Shadow of War, I want another game I can put some time into. Originally it was going to be GTA V, but then I realized that No Man's Sky was also on sale, and I wanted to give it a shot. So far, I'm about an hour in, and I love it. I think it's a really unique take on the open world genre, and it being in space just makes that extra cool. The building mechanic is actually pretty easy to understand once you get it, and the traveling in space thing is also amazing. You feel so free. Lots of interesting bits of lore and things throughout so far and I'm just in the very early stages. I'm excited to see what this game has to offer with all of its new content that I've never played. I hear it's definitely worth the hype now because of the update specifically so hopefully I'll continue to enjoy it. I don't see myself really hating it now to be honest. I'm having a blast

Definitely one of the biggest surprises of the year and I'm so happy this game is great now. The devs stuck by it and they certainly delivered.

A very interesting and loud take. Honestly makes me curious about playing the non-updated version.

It wasn't great. You basically had planets all over with nothing on them. This time around there's stuff all over the place and it feels like each planet is a living breathing place, and not just some generic copy and paste job.

Watch the video. Hbomberguy is lowkey one of the most insightful game commentators on the internet with a sense of flair to boot.

I'm hoping to do better, but so far, no luck.

Just finished Lands of Lore, trying to find a new old school PC RPG to play.

Two old-school dungeon crawlers:

Dungeon Master II is great

Anvil of Dawn is another favorite of mine
