There are parts of me that wish I got into league but then I remember that I play games that are good so yeah.

Totally sinks the game for me too, even though I love stealth games.

I was also curious about this game called Hand of Fate, but it turns out that it has that style of combat too, so that killed all interest I had instantly.

It's just not fun or interesting to me at all.

Yeah the Arkham games aren't mechanically brilliant by any means but the simplistic combat allows you to make Batman look elite while still being a lot of fun. Brought into other games I don't imagine it being as engaging. Arkham is a Metroidvania series at heart (especially the first one) and Super Metroid isn't a game that tests your combat abilities, it's a game that makes your combat abilities look ****ing epic while the exploration aspect reigns supreme.
