Also qwert: hAve you been able to finish a full run of Slay the Spire. I got to the last boss once and just destroyed him. It was amazing. The cards I had were the perfect combination to take him down quickly. |

http://www.gamesdatabase.org//Media/...leg.htm_12.png I'm used to this kind of thing and pretty good at it on a PS2 controller, but I'm not going to deny that it makes for a pretty big wall to smack your head into if you're just trying to get into these games for the first time. |

Oh well. Also, for the record: ME is amazing. But it only gets really amazing with all the DLC. Especially ME3... the game loses so much without "Citadel", it's not even funny. Catching your ship mates banging in your closet, or booby trap your apartment while drunk ...or the actual emotional depth of the romance you can experience in this DLC.. |

Because EA is contractually obliged by the Hell that spawned them, to torment us all. And seriously, I didn't even name the worst offender here: Spoiler for spoiler:
And the worst thing is, that if it was some other game, you could probably see a youtube compilation of their plot and cut scenes so you don't have to buy or play them.. but here ? Take the Citadel dlc - apart from adding a whole new neighborhood to the citadel, apart from a fun quest, the whole dlc is a buildup to a party.. and the amount of variables at that party is staggering and depends on your choices, in this and previous games. It's still on youtube, but a compilation of it all while fun, is nowhere near the actual fun of having a party for your friends, who you made on the way here, on the eve of you all probably dying fighting the reapers.. Sigh.. |
seems like every game i play, the majority of the player base wants to flame the developers for being cash grabbers or money hungry but i've yet to experience anything even remotely close to how bad EA is.
and yet i will still buy Battlefield V, FIFA 19, and if/when a new Titanfall game comes out imma be all over that **** too. if only i had more self control to boycott. |

I always felt it was a strange argument for people to **** on developers for being money hungry. Isn't that there motivation for making the game? Would you walk into a Burger King and yell at the cashier because you have to pay for a burger? Though I know EA is notorious for it, but if a developer is simply excited about making money on their creation (without loot boxes etc) I don't see an issue.
As Bat said, I find your shooting yourself in the foot if you don't buy a game simply because of the devs havits. Again this isn't including loot boxes which I think are the spawn of Satan in video games. If you enjoy a game, who cares if the devs wanna monetize it. It's when they take advantage of their fanbase that causes the backlash I think. |
