Default Writing

i'm looking for a board where writing is the central focus. Writing.com keeps coming up but it looks like it was poorly thrown together and whored out as ad space.

I know the parent companey who hosts these forums has quite the long reach...anyone know anything I can check out?

Well i can not think of any plain writing forums other than a college site. Use big sites such as Harvard's, Browns, or Yale's English sites. They typically have forums you can create accounts and share things with others.

Maybe check out Merriam Webster?

Are we talking literary writing here?

Try Book Publishing Companies - Publishing Books - WEbook Online Company

I've not really looked at it but it may prove interesting at least.

LiveJournal is full of literary/ writing communities but it's not really a forum I suppose.
