Most of these CGI films look so generic. You can try and make it look as "realistic" as possible, that dosen't make it look good, Pixar does this kind of animation the best, everything else is a pale imitation that does absolutely nothing to stand out.
Traditional animation when done right still looks better than anything done with CGI. Hayao Miyazaki is proof enough of that. |

Indeed, in general you can achieve a much better style with traditional animation. As you said, look at Miyazaki's work; both Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle look fantastic easily on par with anything Pixar has done, although I haven't seen Wall-E.
