It's comfortable to hold, but I just hate the button set up with a passion, the 4 shoulder buttons is especially confusing. The Dreamcast had a great button set up, but the thing had an awkward shape and the whole having the cord at the bottom thing was just weird. If I had to pick a favorite controller, it would be the Gamecube controller, it fixes the size issue that the N64 had, and that's really the only issue I had with that controller. Or then again, maybe the Genesis controller. Yeah, now that was a classic. It had a great design, an appropriate size, and 3 buttons made every game easy to pick up, as well as making them easy to play via emulator. Unlike the SNES which is a bit trickier to play on emulator because of the shoulder buttons. It was even compatible with old systems like the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64, which was really cool. |

I really like the 64 controller, it sat in the hand really comfortably and I never had any trouble with the button layout. But it's been ages since I played one, so I could be forgetting how it was.
The PS2 controller is average, it's like it's trying to hard to be utilitarian. I don't like having both analogue sticks level with each other. Worst for me though is the original Xbox controller, it was super bulky and just didn't feel great to hold. |

So does anyone else here play modern games or is everyone stuck in the 90's?

I think the button lay out for the N64 was perfect, it was very simple and superior to the PS1 controller's lay out without a doubt.

68: Having to level up a great deal just so your party will stop being such a bunch of pussies Don't get me wrong, I love RPG's and leveling up can be very fun and rewarding. Just not when it takes you forever to level up just to fight that one guy. With some RPG's you're pretty much wasting a lot of time killing creatures like f*cking bats or something with very few hit points. Just so you can fight more competent baddies. It's especially fustrating when these assh*les are everywhere and you're constantly being thrown into battles you know you can't win (and the run option NEVER works, that's another thing that pisses me off about RPG's) when all you're trying to do is get to the next town, and sometimes it's nearly impossible just to do that. But to be fair, once you get to that point and your experience points rack up, it IS very f*cking satisfying. One thing I hate though is being required to level up not just so you can kill more powerful enemies, but when it's required to level up just to be able to do... anything. Like in some Final Fantasy games where you need a certein amount of experience points just so you can buy a certain piece of clothing or armor. That's bullsh*t. |

I have a 360, but I only play a few games on it (Halo 1-3, GTA 4, Call of Duty 4, Portal, and Psychonauts).
