M&W were not great.
They were over rated family early evening light entertainment but they were no side splitting funny.
That is why they are perfect for urbans question.
They were hailed as geniuses yet they were cabaret and not funny.
Watch steve coogan paul calf when he joins a cult.
That is one of the funniest episodes ever.
M&W were funny to old people who had gentle dispositions and liked ballroom dancing but they were, I repeat, not funny.

Very very few comedians are side splittingly funny. Nuanced performances are everybit as funny as a one liner.

That is true.
Of course that is true.
But M&W were cabaret and not funny.
Tommy Cooper was funny to me but they were just not funny.
I guess they were for a generation who enjoyed dance and theatre comedy but to me it is just so obvious and they just danced badly while someone danced well and that was meant to crack us up.
Jakie Mason is great in some shows.

Aries Spears isn't funny on MadTV or elsewhere. In fact, I have no idea how he landed in comedy to begin with...

All of mine have been said. Mencia is ****ing terrible. I dont know how he has a carrear. Cook is just plain bad.

And for some reason or another most women comedians are not funny. I dont know why (and ladies do not jump down my throat, nothing against women) but they just seem to usually try to hard and come across as boring.
