It's all very well being a condescending prick in the name of humour but you have to have some sort of charisma. Due to this Jimmy Carr can go retire now. He won't though because he's too busy whoring himself out to whatever crap stuff C4 is doing.

If "quick and witty" means "uses dusty, old material I've heard from other comedians who did it better" then I agree.

His game show, while not being very entertaining as a game show itself, featured some funny quips from him. This might be what PN was referring to.

I've only seen stand-up from him and it was freaking awful.

Hell yeah, Dane Cook sucks. If I'm ever laughing, it's at him, in a mean "you suck crap" way, not with him.
