I really can't stand the end to that film, bit of a downer isn't it?

sweet_nothing 07-07-2008 05:00 AM

Well maybe but the film did have a number of great songs and can you name any other film that has a transgender mad scientist this cool!?

You cant, plus Meat Loaf is in it. My personal favorite charcter is Riff-Raff

I mean just how the film opens with those big red lips singing, as soon as you see that you know this movie will be something different

Never really saw all of TRHPS so I can't give an opinion....

How about:

I've always been too freaked out by Rocky Horror Picture Show to watch it.
I think this is a cult film even though its a documentary

The ending was fantastic. Not what I was expecting.. on many levels!

What exactly defines cult movies though? There are as many genres as there are in music:

Italian Giallos.
Mondo films.
Post Apocalyptic.
Psychotronic.
Exploitation (inc. Sexploitation, Nunsploitation, Blaxploitation)
Pinky Violence.
Grindhouse Trash.

God, I just read A Clockwork Orange. The 21st chapter is worth reading.

sweet_nothing 07-07-2008 09:50 PM

Ive read that book like a million times. The film shouldve ended the way the book did with Alex thinking about starting a family. But then again the ending was rather brillant with 'I was cured all right'. Plus I thought the costumes were really awesome I was Alex last year for Halloween.

Kevorkian Logic 07-07-2008 10:09 PM

I agree both are good endings, but I think the movie should of agreed with the book's ending.

Piss Me Off 07-08-2008 04:23 AM

I STILL need to read the book, along with American Psycho.
I love the slang. 'I've got a right pain in the gulliver!'
I used to have the recipe to make a less illegal alternative for the milk they drink. Basically milk topped with cinnamon and a lashing of Absinthe :)

sweet_nothing 07-08-2008 04:31 AM

lol I love the way they talk. I remeber when I first read the book I was like 'what the hell are they saying is this even english?', but the movie cuts back on alot of the nadsat to make the story more easier to follow iIguess.
