Default The Office

There seems enough of a fanbase here to warrant a thread, and I'm a huge fan of the American version. Feel free to discuss the best show on television right now! I'll start:

I think The Office has constantly evolved since it first came on the air. Just look at how much it's changed from season one to season four. I really think that they hit their peak in season two with the humor being at its best and the "JAM" moments giving it the backbone it needed to carry on throughout the season. Season four has been really disappointing for me, especially since the writer's strike. Dinner Party and Did I Stutter? were truly where the show hit rock bottom. I think they made a pretty good comeback with the season finale, however. Hopefully, season five will prove to be worth the wait.

I thought Dinner Party was pretty funny. Where he puts up the beer light during the dinner.
I enjoyed this season more then 3. I hated all the new cast members

I actually didn't enjoy dinner party that much. It a lot more dark and i the likes of the BBC Office. However, what I am continually impressed with is how ever single season gets better and better -- a task very difficult to do.

Get excited. Season premiere Sept. 25

The British version is even better. Needless to say though, this one is fantastic.

I just finished watching the entire original British version (which I completely loved) and I'm now just starting to watch the American version but I dont like it as much as the British version. I know the American version is based off the British version but they recycled too many of the jokes.

I watched the US version before the British version, which probably explains why I like the US version a little better. I still thought that the British version was amazing though. Ricky Gervais is a comic genius. As for the US version, give it some time and wait until the actors get a feel for their characters. Season 1 can be pretty slow but Season 2 is just amazing. Probably one of the best seasons of any comedy in my opinion.

There were some okay episodes near the end of the season (like most shows), but the dinner party was imo the best one.

It was Janet's spotlight. She did freakin brilliant. And that song stuck in my head for 3 weeks. It was basically about a bad relationship, and anyone who've been through one would totally get it.
