if you were attempting to settle a bet without resorting to using the internet... then yes i believe that you would. hell they even put the copyright date on the back just under the ratings on DVDs.

Or just look on the back of the DVD and see "based on the novel by Chuck Palahnuik"

I don't, but it is probably his weakest effort so far.
(Excluding My Best Friend's Birthday, which I haven't seen)
Of course, that's not saying very much.

No it isn't. It's pure genius, just like everything else he's ever done. Granted, I watched it while I was stoned but I'm sure it's just as brilliant when you watch it sober...

i'm just saying that it pales in comparison next to pulp fiction, jackie brown and kill bill. that's all.

I don't hate Deathproof but I still think it lags in the middle and that lag makes it feel longer than it really is. I haven't seen it since it came out in the theater (here in the US) and after the visceral gut punch of Planet Terror (which is incredibly entertaining and horrifically violent BTW) it seemed a little to meandering, taking way too long to get to its climax.

I just wanted more of Stuntman Mike killing girls and crashing cars.
