I've been recommended The Wire, good? I was most intrigued after I read a quote by Stephen King proclaiming a character, Snoop, as "perhaps the most terrifying female villain to ever appear in a television series". I read into it more, and the actress actually lived the life of her street character on the show (drug dealer, incarcerated, etc). Been meaning to check it out since...

Yea, the whole show is pretty much based in reality as far as events, even names in some cases, like Avon Barksdale, etc... their roles, everything. It's a really good series. |
