Those two are the only thing I like that happen sequentially on television.
I like The Wire too, but that's done and gone.. although I do re-watch it when I start missing it.
I've been recommended The Wire, good? I was most intrigued after I read a quote by Stephen King proclaiming a character, Snoop, as "perhaps the most terrifying female villain to ever appear in a television series". I read into it more, and the actress actually lived the life of her street character on the show (drug dealer, incarcerated, etc). Been meaning to check it out since...

The Wire is very good. Sometimes the plot wanders and becomes boring. But the majority of it is worth seeing.

Dude... I didn't even know Snoop was a girl until half that particular season was over. lol... And yea... she's terrifying because it's so real and possible that someone as innocent looking as what seems to be 13 year old boy is as hard as she is. She's freaking ruthless in the show. You don't see her until later though.

Yea, the whole show is pretty much based in reality as far as events, even names in some cases, like Avon Barksdale, etc... their roles, everything. It's a really good series.
