I love the Colbert Report and the Daily Show.

But, of course, everyone's up in arms about Jon Stewart's alleged sexism right now.

What!? I'm like the biggest fan I know of both Colbert & Stewart and I hadn't heard about that.
And so what if he's sexist? That has nothing to do with his job... people are dumb.

It's slightly irritating. Basically the claims of sexism were done by a certain well-known feminist blog, and the Daily Show wasn't having it. I really don't know where to stand on the issue, seeing that I haven't done that much research, but from what I've gathered so far it sounds like a bunch of BS. e_e

Life on Mars! I cant put into words how much i love that show.
I've watched 6 eps so far and I'm liking it. I was initially skeptical when I read it was a cop drama (having been scarred by CSI, Water Rats and the likes) but it actually offers a fairly original spin on things with a decent amount of depth. Though I can't help but get the feeling it's going to end like Lost (with the alternate timeline being purgatory).

Whatever happened to your TV dramas thread? I didn't get where I am today by forgetting about potentially fantastic threads

Well see, here's the thing about that thread.

The next entry was going to be The Sweeney, but I'd only just bought the box set and by the time I'd sat through one pilot, 53 episodes & 2 movies I totally forgot about that thread.

Ahh, TV watching is such a time-consuming hobby. It's easy to pity sci-fi fans when Dr Who, Star Trek and Stargate alone have well over a thousand episodes between them

EDIT: Just looked on wiki and there are almost 2k in total!

Does anyone remember one from a few years back called Krod Mandoon and The Flaming Sword Of Fire? I loved that show, it was so funny. Sucks they cancelled it.
