I'd highly recommend The Armando Innucci shows too. Not really a sitcom but he partly wrote most of the ones in your list.

There was an awesome sitcom in the late 80s called Chelmsford 123, might be hard to get hold of though. I'm STILL waiting for it to come out on Dvd
The first series of Reginald Perrin is so good I can barely put into words how I feel about it. It genuinely is a masterpiece of writing. I could watch it for hours.

Very unfortunate, to add SitC to the great list of HBO series. I can also add Bored to death and Life & Times of Tim, two newly favourites.

Took me a while to get into this series because at first I thought it was lame, but now I love it. Has some pretty funny moments.

Yeah thats true but it seemed to be by far the most successful HBO show i hadnt mentioned in my response, so it got an afterthought.

I think i watched to the end of season 2. I thought it was rubbish at first too and even though i havent watched it since, i thought season 2 was much better and definitely did have some surprisngly funny moments.

Nothing special, but decent.
