I have a lot of favourites. I guess, in no order, they would be:

The Wire
Six Feet Under
The Sopranos
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Entourage
West Wing
True Blood
The Office US
Deadwood
Rome
Dexter
Harpers Island
Mad Men
Lost
Heroes
House M.D.
24
Flight of the Conchords
+ more..

I love them all for different reasons.

God, I love The West Wing. Never looked like it would interest me but I watched all 7 seasons recently and it really didn't take too long.

I've heard good things about True Blood too. I keep meaning to check it out.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is the best show on TV these days.

I own DVD's Seasons 1-5, and haven't seen any of seasons 6-8.

I would venture out and say it's even better than Seinfeld was. There I said it. Not so hard. Maybe cuz it's true.

SNL, Family Guy, and the Simpsons are next

You're only a season behind then, because theres only been six. Six is fantastic though and miles better than 5 which was somewhat of a disappointment. New season this year with Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards!

Dammit, that sux! It must have taken a 2 year break in there somewhere, because the math doesn't work out right since it started in 2000. Wait, it should be going into the 10th year this fall.

There was a break between 3&4 and also 5&6.

There has also been a year between the last season and the new season, so its going into it's 7th year this year.

I'm very grateful for your update, and very saddened at once. I wanted to watch 2 more seasons before 7 comes out in like 2 years.

Oh well, very excited about the Seinfeld cast. It's going to be awesome. I was kind of sad to see Cheryl Hines leave the show. I mean, I don't like her at all as a person, but I think she's magnificent in that role. She really knows how to get mad at Larry, her and Susie Essman, too, lol.

Yeah, West Wing is sublime, and funnily enough I was exactly the same. I put off watching it for so long, then as soon as i got a couple of episodes into the first season I was hooked.

True Blood is a fun show, it's nothing particularly challenging or amazing/ground breaking, but it's just fun. A lot of great sex scenes in there as well if you are a fan of the soft erotica.
