Not really, no. I find it more in line with something I'd listen to if I were pissed off. Agalloch fits the bill for being atmospheric far better than Burzum does.

That I can agree with. We probably have a different opinion of what atmospheric can be. However, I can understand that repetitiveness can create a sort of hypnotic state. pg.lost does it pretty well.

Agalloch aren't bad at all. I've seen them described as post-rock/metal + folk with only a dash of black metal guitar technique. Guess that depends how you slice that pie.
