I think it'll definately amount to best movie of the year. I saw a midnight showing, (and then another a couple of days later....and I have it on my computer...), and I was blown away by it. I was also one of the people going to the theater skeptical, because the thought of Ledger once taking it up the ass onscreen, sickened me. But the guy made one hell of a good Joker. As far as I know, if the Joker is even in the next movie, it will only be as a shadow in a cell. And Nolan has already said the next movie will more than likely be the last, and Bale acknowledged. So we have one more gem to look forward to.

Edit: And it'll more than likely be The Riddler or Catwoman (or both) in the next movie.
It definately wont be Penguin. Nolan said so, and Bale threatened to quit if it was.

Watching Batman Forever now, it's funny how you don't notice how things are so cheesy when you're a kid!

I have a strong dislike for the fact that he chose to play two queer parts in his career.
I'd say the same thing if it were Mel Gibson, so don't let it bother you.

And I didn't really like Penguin that much as a villian.....and I guess Nolan doesn't either.
He just said he definately will not be using Penguin.

Man, I loved this movie. I've always been a big fan of Batman, ever since I was a baby, and this movie just... destroyed stuff. Heath Ledger did great **** with his final performance. Too bad, you know, he kinda lost it afterwards. Shame shame shame. But otherwise, the movie was great aside from that too, ie. the writing and direction. I can't comment on the other acting seeing as Ledger stole the whole movie, really. Overall, it has to be one of the best movies I've seen in the past few years.

Great movie this was. More Yoda it needed.

Anyway, I saw this 3 times. And now I can look forward to seeing 9000 jokers this Halloween in downtown Austin. Oh joy. After seeing this film with my brother, we went to Sonic and he ordered in the voice of Batman. Haha you would have had to been there.
