Stalker is definitely Tarkovsky's best work, it surprisingly even supercedes Solaris, definitely worth a view if you can find the time.

i've seen Solaris - it's pretty good

some people seem to find Stalker boring, though

Agreed. Princess Mononoke is the pick of the bunch though. It's quite simply brilliant.

I remember when Platoon and Full Metal Jacket both came out, Platoon was seen as the film that went for the jugular, whereas Full Metal Jacket the film that provided the grit. Both are classics anyhow.

RoboCop

Always been one of my favourite sci-fi action movies.

Better Off Dead

Out of all the '80's teenage movies that aren't Fright Night or The Lost Boys, this is really the only one I like. Ok that's actually kind of a lie, I do like Heathers and Weird Science.

Dead Alive (aka Braindead in countries that aren't stupid... and fat)

Luckily I got the unrated 97 minute cut of the film that leaves all the gore in tact. I can't wait to get some friends around so we can watch this.

3 classics, still haven't seen Saving Private Ryan though.

Both stone cold exploitation classics:

I just bought Friends Season 6 to 10 to complete my set, so awesome! They were really cheap too. I've been having Friends marathons!

Johnny Mnemonic (1995)

My collection of cult movies that are okay but not great is coming along quite nicely.
