i've seen both

i think the remake is better, the original kinda drags and drags

the original "Hills Have Eyes 2" is rather good, though

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was also slow but still a classic.

Hill Have Eyes was pretty amateurish compared to later Craven

Texas Chainsaw Massacre has a lot of atmosphere and classic scenes (the meathook sequence and the meat tenderizer scene) and the sets are totally creepy - the animal bone room, for one

and Leatherface's appearances were often startling, especially that wheelchair scene

TCM is a classic, HHH is an amateurish borefest

Sure TCM is the better film, I`m not debating that.

But HHH is amateurish and thats what makes it so great and so much fun, its the classic low budget horror flick something I love. It was also one of the first horror flicks that came out in the late 1970s when video films first came of age with VHS and Betamax formats
