Denial has that effect.

Though it's refreshing to see much older people who are like "I'm nearly dead, and let the good times roll!"

I'd say it's less about denial and more about the fact that life moves really, really fast. It just takes you a while to realize how fast it moves.

Don't you remember when you were like 10, and all the 18yr olds were WELL old. Now I'm 18 I think about that, and think ****ing hell I'm still a "child" sorta. I'll bet that I look back on my opinion of older people when I am older and think what a loser.

Sometimes it feels like yesterday, sometimes it feels like a lifetime away. At the moment, it does feel like 8 years ago.

Man, to be 10 again... That was 17 years ago! I don't know if anyone else finds this, but sometimes I actually feel surprised that I'm 27. I have no idea where the time's gone (about 7 years worth is just a drunken, bleary haze).

Now I'm down because I'm nearly 30 and I remember thinking how hideously old that seemed

I'm dreading the old 19. Because it's my last year as a teenager. And I never want to mature. I feel surprised it's 8yrs nearly 9 that I was 10. Feels like yesterday. But when I remember being ten, 18 was a lifetime away, and getting to it from the age 17 was sooo long. But now I'm here it's flew past

I can totally relate. This past weekend I was at a friend of mine's bachelor party and he busted out some photos of us partying ten years ago back when we were fresh out of college. That seems like it was just the other day but then we're looking at these pictures and we all looked like such kids in them, it was crazy. I couldn't believe I actually looked that young while I was working a professional job in an office.

I was like that when I was getting to 26. Sounds like a stupid age but to me it meant I was the wrong side of my mid twenties, I wasn't 'young' anymore... I can laugh now because it's pretty dumb, but I actually spent my 26th birthday drinking Sailor Jerry's and crying to my (younger) friend about how I was washed up and old and had to be mature and grown up

Tell me about it. It's looking at old pictures like that that make me realise I am actually grown up now and should probably think about sorting myself out!

I really liked this when I first saw it, really great thriller. So for £3, I thought I'd add this to my collection.

I've heard only good things about this film, so for £3 I thought I'd take a gamble. If it's sh*t then I'll get rid. Hopefully it will be added to my DVD collection, and it will be there to stay.
