Cloverfield AKA JJ Abrams untitled project

From JJ Abrams (lost etc) comes this intriguing film that comes across as a cross between a monster mayhem movie and Blair Witch style P.O.V shots.
Let's hope it's worth it as buzz has been building online for ages for this one.

yeaa, this movie has been a huge deal on the TFOT boards for months now. Everyone watching the analysis of the trailers to try and figure out what the monster.. I really really hope it ends up being Cthulu although I dont think it will be anymore.

Really, look at all the sci-fi stories there, Caves Of Steel, I Am Legend, etc.

you know why it can't take place in a more original place....new york is essintially the center of the world....it's the business capital of the world. If it shuts down other places will be screwed for a bit. New york also represents the whole immigrant escaping to freedom of america thing with the statue of liberty. If New York goes down then other places are sure to follow soon.

At one point in time I didn't even think this was a monster flick anymore....I thought maybe it was about astriods or something along those lines. I think he's just going to make up a monster of his own and never show the monster...Lost style. He's going to keep us in the dark with the pov-style tactics.

Another pov-style movie that I can't wait to see is the Poughkeepsie tapes....for one reason...I live close to Poughkeepsie Ny. So it's kinda funny to see them make up a fictional event that supposedly took place but didn't and also I like the idea of seeing the killer video tape his killer. I feel like I"m in the killer's shoes.

New York is not the most important city in the world. Try Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin, Beijing. New York is certainly important, but honestly...Anway, it's still annoying and cliche for a sci-fi movie.

I Am Legend really should've taken place in socal.

What i'd give to see a bunch of aliens land in a glasgow tenement block.
They wouldn't last 5 minutes

I'm there now, in Santa Barbara, we all have to stay inside because of ash in the air from a recent fire.

London is officially the business capital of the world. 7/10 ths of the worlds economy passes through our banks. You would think they would give me some of that.
