It may have possibly the strangest romantic interlude in cinema, and several scenes which involve Bruce Lee beating up Sly And The Family Stone, and no Italian people in it despite being set in Rome, but I enjoyed it immensely regardless. The clue is the fact that the film climaxes with Bruce Lee fighting Chuck Norris, which means it's alright by me.

the original Mandarin version is much funnier - Bruce's quite an underrated comedian

Finally got round to watching this the other day, and I can say that it genuinely deserves the reputation it has.

Never thought I'd find myself putting it in the same post as the other one I've seen lately...

I fell asleep for about a quarter of an hour something like halfway through. Too long, too boring and far from Scorsese's best, but Daniel Day Lewis' performance really elevates it and made it worth watching. Definitely one of my favourite movie villains, even if he is surrounded by mediocre dross and Leo DiCaprio's hilarious excuse for an Irish accent.

^^I watched Cannibal Holocaust once, long time ago and I don't think I wanna see it ever again.

As for Gangs of New York, you're spot on. Very boring movie, except for Daniel Day Lewis, who was hammy, but extremely entertaining. Leonardo DiCaprio cracks me up when he tries to play tough.

I doubt I'll ever watch Cannibal Holocaust again either. Along with Braindead, Flower Of Flesh and Blood and Mermaid In a Manhole, it's the only film that's ever made be feel ill through watching it.

^^meh.... Cannibal Holocaust is like Sesame Street horror to me.

Have you watched A Serbian Film? I still can't bring myself to see it, after reading certain things about it. People who watch this kind of extreme movies usually say that this one is just too much. Hey, I guess that's a recommendation for you, if you haven't seen it.

Noted :thumb: I'm gonna see if I can watch them just as soon as I've seen...

^ That, which has been on my to-watch list for quite a while now.

Oh, and while we're on the subject on movie recs, find a way of watching the Guniea Pig series when you can - they're really something else.

doesn't sound interesting to me at all - it's just shock for shock value

the films I've mentioned have some sort of psychological slant to it
