Either that or DJ made a mistake.
I can't believe I missed that reference. I'm kidding, even knowing what you mean it's still a bizarre/nonsense connection. Haven't there been like 50,000 Canadien actors who got successful in the US? What does John Candy's name mean?

Haha, oops. I thought that was Mr. Yorke justifying his own statement.
So .. DJc .. what's up with the kid's name?

instead of aptly named, I should have said aptly mentioned because the two actors are very similar and for the Doc to mention Michael was a good idea because their acting performances are similar to each other.

Fantastic Mr Fox

I really liked it. Lots of familiar voices, quirky lines, and fun story to boot

Meet the Hollowheads (1989)
I literally watched this movie because I liked the title, I don't even remember it coming out back in the day. It's weird a little movie that tries to be like Brazil but ends up feeling like an extended Tales from the Crypt episode. Not horrible, but definitely pretty forgettable. The most noteworthy things about it are the following: it was Anne Ramsey's last movie, it was one of Juliette Lewis's first movies, and it features Bobcat Goldthwait in a small role where doesn't do that voice that he's known for.

Oh you should definitely check it out. Here is the synopsis from Netflix, lol:

A gripping tale of intrigue and mystery in the art world, this film traces the history of the Barnes collection of Post-Impressionist paintings, which was worth billions and became the subject of a power struggle after the 1951 death of the owner. Dr. Albert Barnes collected 181 Renoirs, 69 Cézannes, 59 Matisses, 46 Picassos and many other valuable paintings. But the political wrangling over the collection eventually led to its division.

Oh nice. I've had that movie on my queue for some time now. I really need to check it out.

I recently watched 'Spirited Away'. Though I'd seen it once before, I thoroughly enjoyed it for a second time. It's an imaginative and magical film.

That was the only thing I could think of too but I'm having trouble seeing how it relates to the nerdy, insecure characters Michael Cera always plays.
