It's been a while since I've seen a really good contemporary Italian film. Very smooth, well acted, well directed, with some subtle editing flourishes which transform it into a real work of art. Nothing groundbreaking tho, or possibly even particularly durable/memorable, but a very nice watch nonetheless.

It's one of the creepiest, tensest movies I've ever seen. Time hasn't dulled its edge at all, or if has, I can't even imagine how terrifying the movie must have been when it was new.

Odd how a movie can affect people differently. I enjoyed the original Cape Fear but found it a perfunctory pulp/trash B movie that I have never really wanted to see again.

I have always found John Huston's early films ripe for remakes. Key Largo and The Asphalt Jungle have a huge amount of subtext and complexity whilst still being lean and mean thrillers although saying that Mitchum is fecking brill in the original Cape Fear.

Recently saw the movie Limitless. It's about a guy who gets a pill to unlock the other 80% of his brain power. I found it entertaining.

I finally got around to watching The Social Network.

Overall, I didn't like it. It came off as false and telling an inaccurate story. I hated the ending scene so retarded and the whole premise of how facebook was created as a revenge for this girl telling him he was a crappy date.

Meh

He was being a complete ****ing *******/douchebag.
I also don't feel that that whole encounter went like that irl. I guess I watched this movie thinking it was supposed to be more like a documentary and more true to what really happened but in the end it was just a drama loosely based off of the events.

I just didn't care for it.

The acting from Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield were great though. I think Justin Timberlake should have gotten a nomination for supporting actor. Not that he would win in that category but he should've been recognized for it.

I could careless about Jesse's acting performance because I hated the character.

that's my review that I posted like last week in this very same thread.

No no no, they would've been boring if it was separate. I love the way it was executed. I love how they switched between the two concepts to make it a more interesting movie. It would have been super boring as just a girl breakout story and the fantasy epic parts added a nice little touch to keep it slightly more entertaining. The thing is though once you get over the fact that you don't get to see her dance the first two times, it's not really necessary.

Paloma, I mean Plum (can't get used to it), you haven't seen The Omen? He was older there, but great (not to mention beautiful). That's a must, that is if you like horror films with Antichrist children in them.

He was also good in Mirage, an old mystery thriller. He has so many films, I can't even remember what else have I seen. Oh yeah, The Snows of Kilimanjaro.
Oh yeah! I forgot he was in the Omen! That was a ****ed up movie, I read a book version of it and had to see the original movie, the new one looks ****. I'm thinking of watching Roman Holiday next

So whats the real truth of how facebook came about? Again I like the intro where the girl diss's him cuz he's an ******* but the majority of the film was meh.

As far as Cape Fear it was ok but weird. Problay the first film I ever saw the slutty and always tacky juliet lewis in

The Social Network was an excellent movie though, I honestly don't see what there is to dislike.
