i found the torture sequences especially hard to watch and tear-inducing

it's "Robert E. Howard" I didn't watch that cos the trailer looked like a cross between Lord of the Rings and Van Helsing.

they shoulda used the gothic-like template of the Marvel comics mini-series

edit - I also believe the books were set in Puritan-era America

Never Let Me Go

I quite liked it, but I feel it didn't impact me as much as the book. That being said, it was still pretty upsetting and very enjoyable. Well, as enjoyable as a very quiet and sad movie can be.

I love this movie Dead and Breakfast.

This is pretty much the American version of Shaun of the Dead.

There is a great scene where the zombies start singing and break out into country line dancing.

Shaun Of The Dead 10/10

Absolute quality, such a good laugh. The best part is when Shaun and Ed mistake the girl zombie from the supermarket in their garden for a drunk and they end up stabbing her right through the heart but the zombie just keeps on walking! British Rom Com at it's very best, love the way it plays around with stereotypes!

10/10

If you haven't seen this version, it's a must see. I can't believe they remade this into the crap that came out in 2000 whatever.

The DVD has features of about 2 hours or so more car crashes. It is pure win!

Both of these look good (for completely different reasons obviously).

:Runs off to update Netflix:

Oh, I'll have to check that out. I saw the 'crap' version, lol, and liked it. Interested to see how this compares!

Latest movie I saw was 'Boy in the Striped Pajamas'. ;(

they need to kill POV horror movies. they are done!

I hate that Paranomal Activity made so much money and almost seemed to revive it when it was starting to fade.
