in the hands of any other filmmaker than David Cronenberg this would have been a forgetful thriller, but he elevates the material into something really good.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

For a Jud Apatow film, it was a little disappointing. It had it's expected funny moments, but overall it lacked the luster of his other films (40 Year Old Virgin, Anchorman, Superbad, etc).

Awesome, funny movie! I love how it poked fun at action movies without being too corny or hokey.

That's exactly it! It is one giant piss take! Movies should be as fun as they can be cerebral.
