Just saw Black Swan - wow! I liked it but yeah, it is kinda overrated

Rewatched A Hard Day's Night - my fave of all the Fab 4 movies

well besides reworking the themes in The Piano Teacher (which was explored better there, anyway) in a grandiose manner, I thought at least it had some very good ideas of its own

I guess i'm just over his idea of exploring obsession. I didn't know he was the one who also made Pi. which I liked but geez. He is obsessed with exploring obsessions.

I think the concept of duality was explored pretty well in Black Swan - I find it uplifting also actually that she finally achieved "perfection" in the end. Pretty much a feel-good movie for me, strangely.

True Grit (original) - woulda liked it more if it was structured as a comedy like in the first quarter but I guess that's what the Coen Brothers did with it. Can't wait to see the remake.
