that Lyndsy person you speak of isn't all that hot imo but as I like to say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Watched some good documentaries last night.
Really, really creepy documentary about an urban legend in Staten Island where an ex-mental patient abducts kids and brings them back to the abandoned mental institution and kills them. The old footage of the mental hospital while it was still in practice chilled me to the bone. Seriously some of the most disturbing stuff I've ever seen. I can't believe that they let that go on. 9/10 Very informative and eye-opening. The world needs to seriously cut down on it's water consumption. 8/10 |

Well what do we have here? A story so preposterous you wouldn't give it the time of day until you find out that it is a true story. A young, conscientious promotion seeking care home nurse runs over a down on his luck guy in her car who ends up being stuck in her windscreen. Instead of taking him to hospital she drives home and hopes that he dies in her garage so that she can get rid of the body and still get her promotion. Jet black horror/black comedy from director Stuart Gordon. More famous for his H.P Lovecraft adaptations (Re-animator, From Beyond, Dagon), Gordon is also a renowned theatre director and has also produced some very interesting films of the last 10 years. The mindfuck that is King Of The Ants and the David Mamet scripted Edmond are proof that this guy knows how to direct and the way this film revels in a sick sort of twisted logic is testament to his ability. Certainly not for all tastes but certainly an original film with some great set pieces. The films intro set to pounding underground gangsta hip hop whilst the camera prowls through an old peoples home is near genius. Well worth a watch (as is King Of The Ants).
