My first Alfred Hitchcock movie, ever.....yeah, I know. Anyway, I thought it lived up to all the hype it's ever received anytime and anywhere. The acting was superb, especially from Anthony Perkins. He was so naturally deviant it was disturbing. The shower scene didn't really get me because, well, we all know it's going to happen, but the part that really scared the crap out of me was when Spoiler for I know you've all probably already seen it, but...:
Holy crap, I almost fell off the chair when that happened. And the whole scene where the camera is focused on her eye and then pans out...how hard must that have been to film? I love it, everything. The acting, the subtleties in the dialogue and story and certain set placements. Awesome movie. A++ |
Now you need to see Vertigo!

It was really bad. Steve Carell had a couple moments where he was funny, but over all not all that enjoyable. |
That looked funny to me, but then again... so did Date Night. And that was pretty much a dud (besides the selling point of just being a decent dumb comedy to see at the theater with your friends).

Just watched these two: http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/wp...e%20poster.jpg A pretty good zom-com. Billy Connolly plays Fido the zombie. Love him. http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/CoverAr...fied/17061.jpg This is my third time watching this one. Katharine Hepburn's performance always amazes me. I don't remember crying so much the first couple times I watched it though. :\ |
