I thought the scene toward the end where she walks back stage, and the male dancer in costume walks by gives her a casual "hey," was great, definitely some much needed comic relief.

Pretty good. Willem Dafoe stole the show. Wasn't really as good as my friends hyped it up to be

Most definitely agree with that. I also agree that some of those scenes were damn hard to watch...particularly the finger scene . EEEEwwwww.....

Don't watch the second one then. It's not even remotely as good as the first one.

My theater was really loud (lots of laughing/screaming) which usually annoys me, but for this movie I didn't mind. I guess that shows how well done it was.

And I agree with the second part. I don't really feel like seeing it again this second, but I can definitely see myself picking it up in the future and probably noticing things I didn't the first time.

Yeah, I liked all the comic relief in the movie. It was amusing and a nice break from all the creepy sh it happening, but it didn't steal the show or anything.

I loved how it didn't feel like it had to follow Western standards and the characters were great. Nonetheless, how did this win the academy award for Best Motion Picture?

Great drama and great acting but I still found myself yawning quite a bit. Overall, it was a notch above "okay"...

I think it probably won because it's a fucking fantastic movie.
