No Country For Old Men
It was a pretty good film, although it felt like it was longer than it had to be. The psycho in it is one of the best characters i've seen in a while, the image of him with the gas cylinder is one that sticks in my mind. He does freak me out though :s Some good acting and a bit of gore which is always good. I'd say it was pretty a good film, 7/10 or something. |

Visually inventive but it just ran out of steam. I was hoping for something a little darker considering Bernia's characters delusional episodes. I also found Gainsbourg to be a complete turn off both physically and emotionally. Certainly not awful but a wasted premise definitely.

I've seen it and I absolutely loved it. Based on a true story about kids whose mother abandons them and they're left to fend for themselves...Best Koreeda's film...

I was thinking something about resiliency? But i wanted somebody elses opinion. What the hell did you make of the mother? I couldn't figure her out, she seems selfish. But still seems to love the kids a lot, i dont know how to stereotype her. |

I'd describe the mother as a monster...that's the only word that comes to mind because I really can't process what she did to those kids...no matter how gentle she was when they were together, what she did was inexcusable. Pure selfishness.
