Lord of Illusions (1995) I wouldn't say it was a horrible film... but I also wouldn't say it was a great film, it ride somewhere between mediocre and bad, but I expect nothing less from Clive Barker. |

Audition - this is just simply the cream of the crop of japanese horror...and honestly is just a gorgeous film to watch...certainly a must see Visitor Q - as Jackhammer said this movie can be taken different ways by different people...it could really ruin your day or really brighten it....it is a warped black comedy that examines the family unit....and truly brings a dysfunctional family together in the most disturbing yet hilarious ways...i honestly think this is one of the greatest dark comedies ever Ichi The Killer - based off a comic book this takes a hyperactive approach to his direction....lots of fast cut action scenes and weird long "bike porn"....a fun story line intermixing psychotic characters with revenge and yakuza....some pretty disturbing torture scenes that are oddly as funny as they are horrifying to watch...fun action packed with a hint of "WTF" Izo - this movie is very long very confusing and very gory/violent...basically it involves a samurai who is whipped back and forth in-between time and space and is basically hell bent on revenge...on all of humanity....this is Miike's attempt at making a Jodorowsky styled revenge/surrealism film |

Thanks Bob! Audition is the only one I've heard of and know, so I'll probably get round to watching that first.
Just finished watching: Pretty decent, not one I'd watch again but it's better than the Sixth Sense. A little disjointed in places but overall it was quite an engaging film. |

It's pretty bad. But there are some laughable moments. I'm glad I didn't pay for my ticket (coupons!). |

Just saw this: (or part one anyways)
I enjoyed it bunches. I'd say it probably ties with Chamber of Secrets as my favorite Harry Potter movie. Not really a fan of any of the others actually, but this one was well worth a watch. Also, if you somehow haven't already read it but care about suspense... Spoiler for saddest thing everz:
Also watched this in school today: Never will I be able to watch Drake & Josh again. I enjoyed it a lot; even though it was kind of predictable and very indie, the characters were all believable and intriguing enough to make we want to keep watching. I thought Josh Peck actually did a really good job with his character and I know a kid who's kind of like him (though not the bullying part, just the nice awkward compliments part of him). Overall, worth a watch. |
