Oh my god, awesome movie with a cool twist. Very intense and interesting. Guy Peirce also gives a great performance. 9/10

Even though I won't be able to sleep for weeks, I loved this movie. I don't know which I like better, this or Mulholland Drive. I think this one was slightly scarier, and definately more disturbing, but Mulholland Drive was alot more engaging. Still, a masterpeice. 10/10

Fifty Dead Men Walking

Basically The Departed but with real Irish people this time, also it was based on a true story and if the movie taught me anything it's that the Irish are hard bastards.

It would be funny if that was the sequel to Dead Man Walking.

Didn't do it for me at all, found it slow-paced,generic, and the direction jarred quite a bit in places.

Why is everyone watching Cidade De Deus years after it's been released all of a sudden? It was a great film when it came out. I guess it's one of those word of mouth films that has taken time to filter through all the dross.

The people that are only just getting round to watching it were probably too young in 2002.
Kurt (V&F) would've been 12 and I would have been 11 - I only watched it this year as well. I remember the films I was seeing around that time, I actually went to see Scooby Doo, Cats & Dogs, Minority Report and Austin Powers at the cinema around 2001-2003. I had no grasp on anything good around that age, just really bad comedies.

^^Yeah, that and 12 year-olds aren't too keen on movies entirely in sub-titles...

I'm still proud of myself for watching (and enjoying) Seven Samurai when I was eight.
