It's still a convenient plot device and lucky that someone of Fincher's calibre directed, otherwise it would be just another thriller. I do own Panic Room BTW and like it

Panic Room was a poor idea, executed extremely well. Fincher's direction is pretty damn good, a bit heavy on the CGI at times but a few nice camera tricks here and there. It just lacked a lot. It felt really hollow and it felt quite formulamatic and predictable. Quite watchable, but a pretty poor film from an extremely talented director.

I'm not high, it was a shoddy film from a wonderful film maker. One of the best films you've seen in months? You need to watch some better films if that's the case. Well worth a watch, kind of entertaining but it certainly lacked something that makes a good film.
The last film I saw: Thoroughly enjoyable. |
