Without even seeing the first movie, I felt that the second was created purely for fanservice $$$.

I admittedly may be biased in favour of violent Irishmen, because there were some glaring plotholes and terrible plot devices that played out, but I was willing to forgive those because I love handsome vigilantes.

the part that annoyed most was the blatant racism throughout. and how cliche it was.

Oh, the second one is actually far worse, but with homophobia. Maybe that's why I wasn't discomforted so much seeing the first one. I'd already been so much more offended by the second.

I love both of them, as well as their very silly offensive humor.

Funny as in "ha ha" not as in "gay" right?

I kinda like the first one, but definitely not because it's good.
The second one can suck it, though.

The movie was pretty bad. The plot the whole time seemed like they were winging it, the action scenes were really drawn out and the humor was absolutley horrible. It may have been funnier if I were say 10 years old or was sheltered my whole life, but it was just a pretty bad movie in general.

Agreed.

I drank some beers and watched this earlier:

The last half hour or so with Nic Cage on the run is some of the most hilarious shit I've ever seen. I'm glad I got to see the extended ending, that the director originally intended!

^I just really like Wes Anderson's style. Not as good as his next films, still a very decent watch.

^I have a weakness for movies set in the 60s. However, this one isn't set in a random part of that decade, but during the French "mai 68" revolution which always intrigued me. Great for movie-buffs, having the characters always quoting or acting out part of films, and all in all lovely.
