Yeah, I can't believe Paprika will be his last film. Not a bad way to finish off an amazing career, but what a humongous loss to Japanese animation...:(

watched this last night. it was my first time watching it to be honest, and there were a good amount of underlying things i didn't really get or catch. that, and the slow pace of the movie was kind of a turn off. what i really did enjoy though was alot of the sci-fi scenery/imagery and the musical score which i thought was amazing. I also liked how it tried to make commentary on what it is to be human, but some of it was too subtle that when i read the wikipedia of it I was still confused. i'll probably watch it a few more times to really get but for now this is how i feel about it.

I didn't really like Blade Runner FWIW, and I'm a huge sci-fi dystopia guy...
