Yeah, I collect ticket stubs--to sporting events and concerts. Movie theater ticket stubs are stupid...

go fuck urself sir(i do collect event stubs too). it's the only thing i have ever collected. in 50 years, i want to go back and be like: "oooooooo shit that movie kicked some serious ass". then i can go back and see it again and get super nostalgic and cry.

What about all the movies you watched at home? IMO, the difference between watching a movie at the theaters or at home is not nearly as great as seeing a sporting event in person or watching it at home...

Watching a sporting event at the ground makes watching it at home painful. There's nothing like live 'soccer'. I wish I could be arsed collecting film stubs, but I always end up binning them.

i'm not so sure about this, do you have an hdtv? it sure helps a lot. especially when you dvr the event and fast forward through commercials.

If you think watching it on a television is better than being at the ground, feeling the atmosphere, supporting your players, chants etc.

Then are you sure you're a proper sports fan? For me, there's nothing better than being at my football teams ground when they're playing. HDTV or not, live sports >>>>> televised sports.

tell me, what exactly is a "proper sports fan". i have never really gotten much into cheering, maybe i am lazy or something. tv is almost equal to the real thing for me. hell, it may surpass it. you almost always have a great view, you can skip through stoppages, and you can replay cool stuff. but it is really fun to sit behind an NBA team's bench, you get to hear all types of stuff you wouldn't otherwise.

Well I dunno about America or your sports, but over here - if you're an armchair supporter of a big club, people think you're a shit supporter. Just supporting that club because they're big and they win things etc. (It's not always the case.) it's usually the people who go a lot/have season tickets are considered 'proper fans'. I think you're a proper sports fan if you go to all the games, and love being there. Show your support. But like I said, I dunno about American sports. It might be a ridiculous price for you to go to every single game. My season ticket costs over £600. I go and see all the home games, I have to watch the away games on the TV and it just isn't the same

you seem a bit biased seeing as how you get season tickets. i'm poor, so i'm lucky if i see my team once a year. but i watch every game that is available to me, and i keep myself informed on all the personnel transactions. am i not proper?
