It's just that they're complementary, and in a way Cinema is a extension to all the other forms of Art. Putting away a whole decade, which also the most revolutionary decade in Cinema History and the one that has made what cinema is now, and the cinema you love so much, is very much pure ignorance.

90s and 00s cinema didn't pop out from nowhere, and neither did Cinema. AND DON'T YOU EVER DISREGARD PAINTING IN THAT MANNER!!

Actually, film does rely on technology because it didn't exist until thousands of years later with the invention of film recording...
