I am six episodes into this boxset and I'm very disappointed.

Apparently the gladiator battle scene in episode ten is superb but I don't know whether that can make up for what is essentially a Romanised soap opera.

Omfg you must be kidding, that's easily one of the best drama shows of the last decade. Those freaking interiors, I couldn't take my eyes off them! I've never seen a more realistic representation of roman life, in films or TV...absolutely fantastic...HBO

Perfect teeth, expletives before the words were integrated into common language? Hmmm. Visually very well done. Everything else...no. I would appreciate it more if they had the balls to have everything in latin, gallic etc.
