Film making of the non-linear suspense thriller kind. I can't think of anyone who does it as well, I think David Fincher probably rivals him for the master of suspense, though they go about it in slightly different ways.

i think paring down the "master of suspense" to two directors is a bit short-sighted.

edit: and scarlett was awful in the prestige too...

I don't mean master of suspense of all time, I just meant somebody who's making films today who really understands how to build up tension. The modern day master, if you will..

The Prestige is fucking awesome, and I think you can definitely watch it a second time because it is cool to pick up on a lot of the clues you didn't notice the first time around...

scarlett, jackman, and bowie are all stiffs in this film. and the whole premise is laughable.
