I thought this was a great movie, even though it dragged on a bit towards the end. I think it did very well as both a Comedy and something dramtic.

Anyway, I finally saw:

Well he does have his signature techniques, that are so obvious I wonder how you never noticed them.
I guess the last scene in Taxi Driver is a good example of his skills. The usual dramatic use of the music, the recurring overlapping shots from opposite angles, the inserts with the mix of formats, the montages, his story telling technique, the rawness of the streets that he excels in portraying... well the list goes on.

hah, please, fuck off. scorsese is a genuine auteur, i believe, though none of what you've included in your laundry list except maybe his adeptness at portraying street life hint at what makes him a unique american filmmaker. i hoped my question would implore TSC to provide a bit more detail or analysis of this man whose methods he refers to as masterful. that would be preferable to his constant vague nondescript claims, no?

Why are you telling me to fuck off for?
And what the fuck do you know about my opinion of Scorsese?

I made you a list you fucker, and his "adeptness at portraying street life" is just a small point in it, that I won't use if I'm talking of his other movies, like No Direction Home or Shutter Island.

How bout you stop asking such obvious questions if you already know the answer!

the first time for condescending, now for acting like a little child.

when did i make any sort of claim about your opinion towards scorsese? i guess i can chalk this up to english not being a first language.

my question, which was not directed at you in any way so i can only wonder why you first chose to answer it poorly and are now raving like a child, was concerning the techniques TCS mentioned that set scorsese apart and allow him to "do things other directors can't." your little list didn't hit on any of that.

good lord you're such a little girl. i want TCS to answer them, i want to know his thoughts regarding the question i asked. and you can assure yourself that any time i ask a general question directed openly or towards someone specifically, i am not interested in your thoughts on the matter and you're free to ignore me from now on.

It's a board not a private chat. Get used to have many people answering your stupid questions.

I don't think I want to mention any techniques Scorsese uses after witnessing this conversation.

and this is the internet not the classroom, so get used to people rudely berating you for being condescending and clueless.
