It's Martin Scorsese! I can't dislike anything he does, he's just a visionary, a master at what he does. Even though this didn't really work, if you've seen it - it contains things that are a bit bizarre/cliché, I didn't really like it, but it was okay, the only thing that was wrong was it was the believability.. It was probably a 6/10 which is slightly better than meh/average, but in terms of film making and the shots Scorsese used was great, Hitchcockian techniques. I tend to only watch films I think I'm going to enjoy, usually if it's above 60% on RT or a nice enough score on Metacritic I'll give it a watch. |
scorcese has made some crappy movies trust me.

I've never really disliked one, I've seen 12 of 21.. I just love the man. But in hindsight I don't think I enjoyed Cape Fear much, even though I didn't dislike it..

doesn't a lack of enjoyment = dislike?

but you wasted your time. doesn't that annoy you?

It was still entertaining so it wasn't a waste of time, just the believability factor let it down.

I decided not to watch 2012, if I wanted a bad script smothered in special effects then I'd just watch his previous attempt at an end of the world flick A Day After Tomorrow. How come you decided to watch it? It seemed shit from the moment I heard about it.

Speaking of useless movies, I've recently seen Sex in the City 2. OMG. I feel I need to purge my brain of that unholy abomination. The only thing I liked, and I mean the ONLY thing, was Liza Minelli singing "Single Ladies". Friggin' hilarious. She had the look alike backup dancers and the whole Beyonce choreography down. So damn funny. |
