It was the first time i'd seen this film in it's entirety. It's a really powerful, moving film and it's superbly directed, not to mention a brilliant lead performance from Edward Norton.

Oh, for me it's a typical melodramatic, overly preachy Oscar bait. The theme is a strong one and that's why people love this film, but it's made to seem so banal by all the melodrama and totally unconvincing transition of the main character.

How is it unconvincing?

would like friends with good music/film taste. cheers.

Haha, you're a good friend. I'm so selfish, if I go to the cinema with female friends they already know I will choose the film we're watching and there's no too ways about it.

Well done for being a good friend, the down side is a few of your brain cells are probably dead.

^Loved the movie.
Peter Sellers' last film, before dying the next year. Should've won the Oscar, great interpretation of a tasteless man, the child of television. The Magritte-ian aesthetics worked perfectly with the story. All beautiful cast, hilarious movie also.

Great cast, but overrated. It was too colossal for its own good...

Perfect thriller, up there with No Country as the best thriller.

Dare I say that I laughed on more than one occasion? On the whole it was bloody crap though, just as I expected. Plus, I didn't go out of choice, a friend wanted me to see it with her.. life ruiner.

It feels like every girl in the world is going to see that and going crazy about SITC all over again. And then they all tell me about it or put something on Facebook about it.

I just hope they won't all be putting the theme as a ringtone once more.
