I watched it and felt like yeah, I'm watching a classic. Even though it's not one of my favourites it was very well done, the swagger of Johnny boy. The relationships between the characters, the divided loyalties.. and the promiscuous ending.

Best intro ever, few directors before or since can marry music with images:

That was one of my favourite scenes, one of the scenes that struck me most. The way he entered with that swagger and 'I am the man' persona around him, matched together with the most rock n roll group that had swagger in abundance. Really good scenes.

Mean Streets - most enjoyable. Pissed off I never found out what happened to Johnny Boy though.

Default The Hurt Box

The Hurt Box, the ending is absolutly awesome in this movie.
It really gives a reflection to some of these guys that are, and have been in Iraq.

You mean The Hurt Locker.

Meh... I didn't care for it that much. Seemed extremely overrated and overplayed imo. Maybe it's because I actually did serve in Iraq while in the Army.

GTFO! Goodfellas is the greatest mob film of all time. "As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster" what a start. The Departed closely follows.

I'm really disappointed in you Violent & Funky

I enjoyed Mean Streets, not comparable to Goodfellas though.

So you are a veteran freebase.
It must had been an experience to remember.
You should be very proud Brother.
My son is a tech agent in the air force, he has been to iraq 3 or 4 times already, a couple times to afgan.
He is stationed in Biloxi, Miss.
What part of Louisiana are you from, I read your post in the local music scene thread.

Where The Wild Things Are. Did they seriously make that film for a child audience? It's overlong, very sad, and far too boring to keep anyone entertained. The plot was really predictable as well.
