Definitely agreed

*I used that smiley because of the film, not because of the thought of you and your girlfriend. That's not how I roll.

Starring Adrien Brody - one of a talented few who can go on a skiing holiday and bring his own slope with him

Very good, thought-provoking and touching (biographical) holocaust story, and one that doesn't end in a cornfest like Schindler's List does. I'll admit the lack of Brody's playing a particularly interesting character did get have my attention span wondering throughout the opening third or so, but from there the film improves so much as a genuinely good story, with some stunning photography on show too.

Meh. Better than some of the dross of its ilk that I've seen (We Were Soldiers, Jarhead etc), good fun and some great action sequences throughout, but nothing I'd go out of my way to see again in a hurry.

Absolutely nothing like it. In fact it's quite a sad piece of film in that it completely dismantles the guy and he ends up as a very pathetic figure. Kudos to him for being so brave though.

Blackhawk Down is an awesome war movie, despite the fact it has Josh Hartnett in it haha...

What he is is an attention seeking dickhead. Doesn't take much bravery to do that.

Well, that was one glaring drawback

As you say, it's a good film for what it is, ie a nice, fast-paced modern war movie.

Really enjoyed this one. A very strong and well-written story, complimented by some great performances from the lead parts. Pretty damn funny stuff too. I do think the screenplay didn't quite make enough of Katie Holmes' character, what with the kind of role she plays and how it kinda constantly brushes her off into the background and that, but this is still easily one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in a while.

It was good, didn't quite know what I thought of it at first. I didn't know whether it was good or crap but I kind of grew into it, entertaining film.
