Definitely not. Mmmm.

I also found it kinda odd that Thora Birch played the unpopular girl in American Beauty when she had huge rockin tits and the popular girl's boobs were flatter than tortillas.

Trust me, that's all teenage boys care about.

Ahem.

Anyway, about Avatar--it's not the story that bugged me about it. I get that it's a visually driven film and I'm cool with that. But a lot of the clunkiness in the dialog is enough to distract from the visual aspect by inducing facepalm and taking me (at least) out of the movie entirely.

I'm not asking for depth--it's more that it didn't feel natural enough to make it work. (Which is something Tarantino does really well, Burton usually manages to get at least close to and Lynch... well, "natural" doesn't exactly apply to Lynch--but his realities have their own internal logic.)

That said, I didn't hate it. I'd watch it again. What it did right, it did better than anything else, but it's still overall pretty average.
Yeah Tarantino, Burton and Lynch are definitely more my style than Cameron, but I still strongly appreciate what he does.

the MST3K version, of course.. Starring Adam West and a young Tia Carrera! :)

The soundtrack is actually decent for MST3K fare. 80's metal..Motorhead, pre-Phil Pantera..one of my favorite MST3Ks

A brilliant film. It's tense, mysterious and surreal, and it has a great old-school sci-fi feel to it.

I didn't enjoy Moon that much.. the last half of the film let it down.

I am still yet to see Moon but I really, really, really want to.

Well, you could tell which Sam was which, until they got changed. And then I didn't know which one was which and I found the ending a bit predictable and meh.
The first half of the film was really good, not my favourite film of 2009. That'd have to go to 500 Days of Summer or Nowhere boy.

Some films you watch and you know what happens and go "well, that was alright," but you'll never bother watching it again because you know how it finishes.

Some you just go Wow. I know how it ends, but I'm still gonna rewatch it, it's THAT good.

Moon is definitely the first one.
