Probably the goriest film you'll ever watch, and not in the funny, Evil Dead sense. I eat nails for breakfast, and it still made me a bit sick to the stomach watching it.

Worse then Saw? when I watched Saw the gore didn't bother me at all. I found it more scary than gory but then again I get scared really easily.

That film sounds horrible. why did you watch it?

I don't think Saw can be considered gory, compared to movies like Cannibal Holocaust or Salò.

Never seen either, I shy away from scary/gory stuff. Not my thing. A friend of mine MADE me watch Saw, he loved them and said I wasn't a proper film fan because I'd not seen them.. I found Saw more scary than Gory. Only seen up to 3 though.

"Goodnight little girl." creepy.

After you watch the 2008 French film Martyrs, movies like Saw and Hostel seem passe.

Ran (1985)
It's hard for me to really judge this movie. To be honest, I found it incredibly stagey and slow-moving, but I recognize that a lot of that is cultural. I guess I was hoping for something that grabbing me a little more (okay, a lot more) but I'm still glad I saw it.

Blood effects aside, it's such a beautiful movie. It is a little slow at the start, which some people will be put off with, but it's a great movie.
