I know you're not asking me, but I saw Troy in the cinema and hated it (a few of my mates liked it though), and Scarface is decent, if a little overrated. The ending's top of the pile stuff though.
I never watched Troy, I don't think I might watch it any time soon. I just feel "meh" about it.
Scarface is a favourite, due to his last scene. Truly grand. I think I watched that part more than 7 times, and the whole movie just twice. The rest of the movie, is kind of a less good version of Carlito's way lol.

I think it's time I watch the original Scarface... I need to keep that in mind next time I go to the shop.

I agree Troy was pretty meh. It's been a long time since there was a really good epic, I think. Arthur was embarassing at best, Troy was mediocre, Alexander and Kingdom of Heaven were both boring (I thought).

I remember liking Kingdom of Heaven, maybe because I was very excited Lebanon had a few mentions. Now thinking about it, that why I've watched Mean Girls that many times :/ (how pathetic).

I'm very pessimistic about troy so far. I've been told it's excellent though, so I may as well watch it while I have it

I feel very "Meh" about it too I've heard scarface is incredible, thought i'd ask you since you do media (or something along those lines) in uni. My friend says the ending is tremendous. He's obsessed by it the one with Al Pacino that is, is that the original or not?

Love it, love it, love it. But I agree with Bulldog - Meet the Parents is his best rom-com. Meet the Fockers was pretty good as well, but not as good

Pocahontas with battle scenes, but yeah - it was entertaining, so I agree.

I was actually thinking of "historical" epics or what you wanna call it, though, sorry for not being specific .. Although those movies of course are mostly still based on fantasy. Especially King Arthur, didn't even seem like it was based on the sagas!

edit :

It might have been the best of that bunch for me as well, although it still bored me. Alexander was the worst!

The original is directed by Howard Hawks, and released in 1932.

Meet the Parents is an actual gem. I liked seeing Barbra in that second one, the chimichungas were pretty hilarious. But that first one, talk about frustration!

You need to see it right this minute! I like both of those movies because they deal with issues everyone can relate to in a humourous way.
